NBA Ballers: Chosen One

If you’re up for some basketball action, here’s the game for you. NBA Ballers: Chosen One has the most variety of players seen in a single basketball arcade game. Play with the likes of Wilt Chamberlain, Moses Malone, Daryl Jawkins, Dr. J, Larry Bird, and many other NBA legends.

The good points on this game are its stylish presentation, a good number of current and past NBA players and create your own nicknames for your baller.

For the presentation, it is its strongest point and you would even love the attractive menus. There are also cut scenes that would feature players like Kobe, Agent Zero and LeBron that will leave you feeling awed and inspired before playing with a big matchup.

You can also make your own baller in the story mode and give him cool nicknames and dress him up with hundreds of different shirts, pants, shoes, and accessories. There are more items but they are all locked and you can only access them as the game progresses.

The bad points for this game are repetitive gameplay, complex controls, act-a-fool combos can be overpowered and penalties for fouls, charging and goaltending.

The controls are needlessly complex. Sure there are some pretty good combos but the buttons to execute them are quite complicated. Even if you have mastered them you’d still have a hard time. When you are successful with the combos, the cutscenes for the super moves are quite repetitive and annoying too.

Overall, this game is quite good for a basketball arcade game and it has some cool new ideas too but those ideas just weren’t working in the actual gameplay.
