Roof-Mounted Basketball Hoop Systems

Roof-mounted basketball hoops are a great choice for areas where space is limited. A roofmounted basketball hoop consists of a rim with a net and backboard. They can usually be mounted to virtually any kind of roof or the side of a house. The hoop comes with an extension arm and heavy duty bracket to hold everything firmly in place. Since they mount directly to the roof, they don’t take up much space at all but they do offer a place for years of fun and memories.

Having a roof mounted basketball hoop or goal can be fun for the whole family. Growing families will have a place to play together and get some much needed exercise. Adults can have some friendly competition or play an intense game. With a roof basketball hoop, you know the hoop is sturdy and can take any kind of action.

If you have an even smaller space to work with, look for a space saver roof basketball hoop. Space saver outdoor basketball hoops are able to be mounted to a roof when as little as 12” from roof to backboard is available. If more space is available, you can choose a more spacious roof basketball hoop. Choosing a spacious model will give you as much as two feet of space to work with. This means you can mount your hoop 4, 5, or 6 feet away from the roof. The distance you choose is up to you.

When choosing your roof basketball hoop, you can choose from many different sized backboards. Choosing a middle of the road size such as a 36” x 48” will give you the rebound room you need while still giving your hoop the stability needed. You can choose acrylic, steel, aluminum, or fiberglass. All of these materials are safe for outdoor use. Steel and aluminum are more economical but won’t give you the ball rebound that acrylic and fiberglass will.

One example of a roof basketball hoop is the Roofmaster II. This unit is strong and durable. It can be mounted on any roof. If you have a sloped rooftop the RoofMaster II can still easily be mounted. The Roofmaster II is also adjustable. The height can be set to any level you want between 10 feet and 6 feet. It comes with a crank system making it easy to adjust from the ground.

The RoofMaster II comes with a 36” x 48” backboard made from acrylic. Acrylic is a good material for backboards that will be outside. It is durable and all weather safe. Attached to the backboard is a recreational flex goal. Flex goals give slightly when pressure is applied protecting the backboard from breakage. The RoofMaster II or any roof basketball hoop is great for areas where space is an issue.

Adding a roof basketball hoop to your driveway or the side of your home will give you a permanent place to play and have fun with family and friends. Consider adding one to your home today.
